{"id":202,"date":"2013-10-29T11:28:01","date_gmt":"2013-10-29T19:28:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bracketthis.com\/blog\/?p=202"},"modified":"2013-10-29T11:28:01","modified_gmt":"2013-10-29T19:28:01","slug":"day-1-following-instagrams-suggested-users","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bracketthis.com\/blog\/2013\/10\/29\/day-1-following-instagrams-suggested-users\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 1: Following Instagram&#8217;s Suggested Users"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I cessed out and followed <a href=\"https:\/\/gist.github.com\/barce\/7208758\">the entire suggested users list<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I posted 2 photos that I haven&#8217;t published and was very conversational in how I interacted with folks on the suggested users&#8217; list.<\/p>\n<p>Only 2 people liked, commented and followed me back:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/sebastiandantedesigns\">@sebastiandantedesigns<\/a> who has great landscapes and waterscapes, and<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/juririm\">@juririm<\/a> who has a clever and quirky way of presenting the everyday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I went through this exercise because of <a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/p\/fLgtPQHOGa\/\">a well thought out piece<\/a> written by <a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/jasonhreinhart\">Jason H. Reinhart<\/a>. He likened the Instagram to being a place of inequity:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I see people out here with 20k who respond to literally every comment and interact with others daily. While I see some with 100+k and up not make any effort to thank anyone in their comments unless it&#8217;s to respond to a fellow instagramer who has 100+K themselves. Yet it&#8217;s those who are always on the Suggested list. Instagram has turned into what America has turned into, the rich getting richer and the poor struggle to stay afloat.
